The beauty therapy department at Thomas Danby College is celebrating
the success of student Mi Jin Coffey in the final of a national
beauty competition.
Mi jin's make-up and presentation skills earned her first prize
in the both rounds leading to the grand final of the Further
Education Skills Competitions Council's National Skills Challenge
staged at Warwickshire College. In the final Mi Jin did extremely
well, gaining a certificate of merit.
Mi Jin, who has just completed NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy,
had to do a leg wax, manicure, facial and make-up for the final.
She performed these on fellow Thomas Danby College student Julia
Longman.
Mi Jin has been named as Overall Student of the Year in the
school of beauty Therapy for her outstanding achievement during
the last year.
